Obituary

DODGE CITY - John Padilla Lozano, 69, died May 15, 2012 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on June 24, 1942 at Dodge City the son of Frank E. and Juanita (Padilla) Lozano.

John grew up in Dodge City and worked for Hy-Plains Dressed Beef. He later moved to Hutchison where he worked for Tyson Foods. John returned to Dodge City and was employed at JAG Construction and Wal-Mart.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

John is survived by two daughters, Alice Perez of Dodge City and Natasha Lozano of Hutchinson; two sons, John Lozano and Martin Lozano both of Dodge City; a step-son, Jerome Cabaral; two sisters, Elogia Gonzales and Marguerita Ortiz both of Dodge City; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six sisters, Isabel Ortiz, Enedina Gomez, Ramona Dillard, Frances Leon, Hermenia Aris-Mendez, and Alvera Gutierrez; and one grand daughter, Tiffany Leonard.

Memorial service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the John Lozano Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
