Dodge City - Jone Starks, 74, died May 27, 2021 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on August 31, 1946 at Salt Lake City,Utah the daughter of Joseph and Dora (Wiggs) Sturzenegger.

She married John Starks on November 14, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he survives. Mrs. Starks loved reading books, playing cards and working the cow herd with her husband. She loved spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. Mrs. Starks cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and her dogs.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Relief Society all of Dodge City.

Se is survived by her husband John of the home; one son Johnny Starks and wife Meggan of Wellington; two grandchildren Tyler and Taryn Starks and one brother Nick Sturzenegger and wife Jackie of Layton, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Bennie Sturzenegger.

Funeral service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday June  2, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Bishop Harmon presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Jone Starks Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
