Jose Armando Garcia, 43, passed away on September 23, 2025. Even though he passed away to early from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all who knew him. He was born on November 25, 1981 in Park Ridge, Illinois to Jose Silvestre and Maria Eugenia (Sierra) Garcia.

Jose grew up in Dodge City and was a graduate of Dodge City High School. He joined the US Army and served as a medic from 1999 to 2007. Jose then was a medic for the Dodge City Fire Department before he pursued his career with GEO for a little over 20 years.

He was an amazing man; he would go out of his way to help out family and friends. Jose loved to cook and grill and spend his weekends with his wife Stephanie and their dogs, Ayden & Yasmine, who passed last year, and new puppy Zalia. He worked constantly, but when he took time off, he always spent that time with his wife or traveling to see his family. Jose was such a loving, fun, and caring man that will be missed and remembered by many. He will never be forgotten.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Garcia; his mother, Maria Eugenia Sierra Garcia; three sisters, Brenda Daniels and Marcus, Yesenia Garcia and Edgar, and Eva Garcia; a brother, Mario Garcia; and eight nieces and nephews, Daveon, Annelise, Jayden, Janessa, Jaylen, Marcus, Jr., Makari and Bellami. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Silvestre Garcia and brother, David Garcia.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Saturday October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Pedro Garcia presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City with military honors by Ft. Riley Honor Guard and SWKS Veteran's Funeral Honor Guard.
