Dodge City - Jose A. Granados III, 19, died August 7, 2022 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on May 8, 2003 in Dodge City, the son of Jose Granados Jr. and Denise Mendoza.

Jose grew up in Dodge City, attending Dodge City public schools and graduating from Dodge City High School in 2021. After high school graduation, Jose began classes at Dodge City Community College to work towards becoming an electrician.

Jose enjoyed cruising around town in his car as well as hanging out with his friends. He was also a video game buff, and enjoyed playing in his free time. Jose also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father, Jose Granados Jr.; brother, Isaiah Granados; grandmother, Constanza Suarez; aunts, Esmeralda Granados and husband Mauricio Ruiz and Veronica Granados; uncles, Erick Granados and Joe Granados; and cousins, Alex Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Mars Ruiz, Ethan Ruiz, Kaiden Rincon, Kayson Rincon. Jose was preceded in death by his uncle, Freddy Granados.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Father John Stang presiding. A vigil service will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 7:00 PM.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
