Dodge City - Jose Silvestre Garcia, 78, died January 9, 2023 at Trinity Manor in Dodge City, Kansas. He was born on December 31, 1944 in Durango, Mexico, the son of Lazaro Garcia and Jovita Medrano.

He was a delivery driver for Pizza Hut for 20 years. Jose was a musician. He loved to sing and play different instruments.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Eugenia Sierra Morales; five children, Jose Garcia (Stephanie) of Colorado, Brenda Daniels (Marcus) of Virginia, Yesenia Artiles (Edgar) of Virginia, Mario Garcia of Kansas, and Eva Garcia of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Daveon, Annelise, Jayden, Janeesa, Jaylen, Marcus, Jr., Makari, and Bellami; and 12 siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Garcia.

There will be no Funeral service as cremation will take place. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from noon to 5:00 PM.
