JOSHUA DUANE REED
Dodge City - Joshua Duane Reed, 34, died May 30, 2011 at his home in Jetmore, Kansas . He was born on April 29, 1977 in Dodge City, the son of Fred Towne and Mary Reed .
Mr. Reed was a resident of Dodge City most of his life. He was recently employed with Pride-Ag Resources of Jetmore at the time of his death. He loved animals and working with cattle at a local sale barn. He loved children, riding four wheelers, and was a talented craftsman, working in wood and metal.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Reed, Dodge City, companion, Rashay Hurt, Dodge City, one son Tayvn Reed, Dodge City, and one stepson, Sylyn Deshon Martinez, Dodge City.
Memorial services will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City, with Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Following the service there will be a potluck supper in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Joshua Reed Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
