Obituary
DODGE CITY - Joy Ann Peterson, 85, died June 15, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City. She was born on April 18, 1930 at Ebsen, Kansas the daughter of Florence and Harriett (Becktold) Cline.
On February 22, 1953 she married Richard "Rick" Peterson. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2007. She worked 42 years at the Kansas Soldiers Home. Joy enjoyed traveling together as a family. She loved her cat Molly.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Dodge City.
Joy is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Peterson of Manhattan and a son, Kirk Peterson of Dodge City.
Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
