DODGE CITY - Joyce Adele Grimshaw went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2009 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was the daughter of William E. and Annis Summers.

On June 7, 1953, she married W.L. "Bill" Grimshaw at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1992. Joyce was a key punch operator for Centel Electic and retired after many years of service. She was an active volunteer in the community for the American Heart Association and Dodge City Community Concert. Joyce was also a pink lady at the Dodge City Hospitals.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City, Business and Professional Women, Women's Chamber, Rebekah Lodge, Order of Eastern Star and Senior Friends all of Dodge City.

Joyce is survived by B.B. and Deloris Archer of Dodge City, Charles Archer of Dodge City, Diane Soza and husband Paul of Goddard and their children Michelle, Sarah and Jacob; sister-in-law, Goldie Ditson; three nephews, Dr. Gary Ditson, Gene Day, and Donald Day; and two nieces, Nadine Compton and Virgina Smith.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Phil Scott presiding. Entombment will follow at Scroggins Mausoleum in Dodge City.
