Dodge City - Judy Benford, 58, died September 4, 2022 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on September 28, 1963 in Los Angeles, California to Lawrence Magee and Julia Mae West.

Judy spent most of her life in California and Nevada. She met Luke in 1998 and they were married May 7, 2003. Prior to her retirement, Judy worked as a custodian in Pahrump Valley Nevada. She moved to Dodge City in 2013 with her husband after her retirement. Judy loved to watch movies and play spades. She loved being with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed drinking her Pepsi and collecting dragons.

She is survived by her husband, Lucas Benford; her children, Tylise Spencer and husband Shaun, Julianna Smith, Victoria Wright, Virginia Bershirs and husband Matthew, Victor Wright, Vernell Wright and wife Stefanie, and Vandale Wright and wife Kimberly; and her 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Gregory Magee and Kip Magee; and sister, Jennifer Magee. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lawrence Magee Jr. and sister Cathy Magee.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
