Obituary
Dodge City - Judy J. Cooper, 64, died May 3, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita . She was born on April 10, 1947 at Hays, KS the daughter of Eldon and Rose (Serpan) Yost.
Judy married Don Cooper on September 2, 1978 at Cottonwood Falls, he survives. She worked as a USDA Meat Inspector for 15 years before retiring. After her retirement as a meat inspector, she worked as office manager for the American Red Cross in Dodge City. She loved spending time with her family and her dogs.
Survivors include her husband Don of the home; two daughters April Blea of New Castle, Colorado and Tiffany Matthews of Dodge City; one brother Raymond Schaffer of North Little Rock ,Arkansas and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a infant brother.
Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dennis Zimmerman presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Ford County Humane Society or to the American Red Cross in care of the funeral home.
