Dodge City - Judy Mae Muns, 77, passed away on December 12, 2024 at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital, Wichita.  She was born on June 20, 1947 at Dodge City, the daughter of William Woodrow and Myrtle Evelyn (Cox) Blackburn.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Dodge City and attended Dodge City public schools. On October 19, 1965 she married Fredrick Orin Muns, he preceded her in death on February 13, 2008. Judy worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan nursing home and Kansas Soldiers Home at Ft. Dodge and in housekeeping at Western Plains Medical Complex.

She enjoyed many crafts, embroidery, crochet, plastic canvas, making jewelry and especially spending time with her family

Judy is survived by her children, Sherri Ann Pooler (Mark) of Kentucky, Steven Alan Muns (Mirna) of Texas and Patty Sue Holt (Scott Leonard) of Dodge City; her fur baby Miss Kitty; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 4 great great great grandchildren; her siblings, Richard Blackburn (Bernadine) of Dodge City, Daniel Blackburn of Kearny, Nebraska, Sandra Garza (Alex) of Dodge City; sister-in-laws, Patsy Blackburn and Gail Blackburn both of Dodge City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, William, George, Donald, Steven, Evelyn, and Darrel Blackburn; sister-in-law, Beverly Blackburn and great great great grandson, Yonathan Guerrero, Jr.

Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday December 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
