Hanston - K. Gerald (Jerry) Bowlin, 83, died March 13, 2018 in Jetmore.  He was born on January 17, 1935 in Wichita, the son of M.L. (Blondie) and Virginia Lee Bowlin.

Jerry married Elma Trent on May 24, 1953. She preceded him in death on January 5, 1974. He later married Donna Blundell on June 2, 1978. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2008.

Jerry was an avid golfer and sports fan. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting. He was a past Exulted Ruler of the Dodge City Lodge #1406, BPOE; an Eagle Scout; as well as a deacon at the First Christian Church of Dodge City.

He is survived by his daughters; Jeri Jo Erskin of Independence, MO; Krista (Evan) Howard of Loveland, CO; and Keri (David) Moreno of Hanston; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son Michael (Butch) Bowlin.

A Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jerry Bowlin Memorial to be designated by the family at a later date in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
