"Tooter" Karen Sue Adams, 71, passed away on July 1, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on September 13, 1954 in Garden City, KS, to Clarence and Helen (McKinney) Kiehl.

Karen worked as a cook at the Hitch'n Post Truck Stop in Dodge City for many years then later at the Ft. Dodge Kansas Soldier's Home before retirement.

Karen is survived by her siblings, Barbara Jane Fleetwood of Dodge City, Jerry Ray Kiehl of Lake Charles, LA, Wesley Eugene Kiehl of Aurora, MO, Harold Dean Kiehl of Clearwater, FL, Michael Irwin Kiehl of Aurora, MO, and Larry Joseph Kiehl of Perryton, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Kenneth James Kiehl, Patricia Ann, Linda Lou Vargas, Richard Leroy Kiehl, Robert Lee Kiehl, Wanda Stintzi, Chuck Kiehl, and "Butch" Leonard Kiehl; and her ex-husband, OJ Adams.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City with a burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 from noon to 8:00PM at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City.
