Dodge City - Kathleen Papachronis, 76, died May 13, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Dodge City.  She was born on December 18, 1947 at Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Duane and Anita (Garcia) Delimont.

She lived in Scherville, Indiana for thirty years and taught in the Gary Indiana School District. She moved to Dodge City in August of 2023. She was very strict on making sure her students worked hard on keeping good grades in school. She loved to spend time with her family whenever she had a chance. She also enjoyed reading, baking and loved watching Law and Order and Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang in her spare time. She also loved going to the movies and going out to eat as well. Ms. Papachronis also love to travel, taking trips to Greece, Italy and Hawaii.  She also enjoyed old barns.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

She is survived by her sister Lilli Peters and her husband James of Dodge City; one brother John Villa of Salt Lake City, Utah; one niece Annie Peters and her son Spencer of Dodge City; one nephew Jim Peters III and his sons A.J. and Wesley Minet of Dodge City and his stepdaughter  Karsyn Hodges and stepson Kylan Hodges.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Dean and her aunt Berdie.

Funeral service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Vigil service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Parkinson's Research in care of the funeral home.
