Dodge City - Kelly Sue Torres, 53, died December 7, 2022 at Dodge City.  She was born on May 17, 1969 at Fullerton, California the daughter of Rodney Wachholtz and Karen Sue Rima (Bales).

Kelly grew up in Nebraska and attended schools there. She has been a Dodge City resident since 1992 moving from Nebraska. Kelly was a longtime manager of Burger King in both Dodge City and Garden City for over 20 years. She was currently working as a billing clerk for National Beef in Dodge City. Kelly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and giving life lectures to her children and anyone who she thought needed one.

Kelly is survived by her children, Jessica Wallace and James of Dodge City, Nate Chancellor and Shy of Dodge City, Samantha Hunsaker of Cimarron, and Megan Pfaff and Jeremy of Dodge City; eleven grandchildren, Kayden, McKenzye, Mason, Vanessa, Lexi, Aniya, Aysarah, Ayrayna, Zayla, Jacob, and Tucker; father, Rod Wachholtz and Dixie of Derby, mother, Karen Sue Rima of McCook, Nebraska; and three sisters, Gena Sanchez of Garden City, Deb Walker and James of Louisiana, and Rhonda Fries and Ken of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan; sister, Kimberly Campbell; grandparents, Warren and Velma Bales; and a niece, Kori Ohlson.

A Celebration of life will be held at the First Christian Church on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Dusty Cookson presiding.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
