Larned - Kenneth Gene Smith, 75, passed away September 26, 2025 at his home in Larned. He was born on October 16, 1949 in Emporia, the son of David Wayne and Norma Lee (Thompson) Smith.

His childhood years were spent in Emporia, where he graduated from Emporia High School in 1969.  After graduation, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he went to work at various jobs.

Kenneth was the father of two sons, Troy and Jeremy, who were later adopted.  He then met Lisa Rosenbohm. Kenneth loved spending time with his family and spoiling his granddaughters.  He also enjoyed playing online games and watching old trains.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Alexandria Snyder and Kimberly Rosenbohm; grandchildren, including Faith, Ashley, and Zoey; great grandchildren; and siblings, Sharon Woods, Zina Tatman, and Robert Smith.  He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Randall; and a granddaughter, Lily Ann.
