CIMARRON - Kimberly Slattery-Unruh, 42, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Via Christi St. Francis Campus, Wichita. She was born on November 9, 1966 at Dodge City the daughter of Bill and Corky (Cramer) Slattery.
Kimberly was a graduate of Cimarron High School. She then attended Dodge City Community College where she received her Associate of Applied Science degree. Kimberly was currently enrolled at DCCC where she was working on her Hospitality Management degree. She was also employed by the Dodge City school district where she was the clerical secretary for state and federal programs. Kimberly enjoyed life, being with family, and loved animals.
She is survived by a daughter, Megan Hamilton of Topeka; two sons, Andrew Unruh of Lawrence and Dillon Unruh of Cimarron; her parents, Bill and Corky Slattery of Dodge City, two brothers, Mark Slattery of Cimarron and Mike Slattery of Gardner; a sister, Kelly Katz of Dodge City and grandmother, Helen Cramer of Chanute.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Richard Deimund presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the casket to remain closed.
