DODGE CITY - Larry Joe Reinert, 77, died December 21, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1934 at Dodge City the son of Leonard "Pat" and Mae (Houston) Reinert.

He served in the US Army. On August 11, 1956 he married Nancy Jo Bunnell at Dodge City. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1998. Larry spent his life engaged in farming.

Larry is survived by his three daughters, Jan Brown and husband Greg of Dodge City, Julie Ellis and husband Jack of Bucklin and Lyla Schriner and husband Rick of Ensign; brother, Ron Reinert and wife Rose of Dodge City; sister, Kathy Zimmer and husband Don of Lawrence; brother-in-law, John Bunnell of Garden City; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Ford County. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, December 23, 2011 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Concord Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.
