Cedar Park, Texas - Larry Smith, 80, died August 12, 2018 at Silverado Memory Care Community in Cedar Park, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1938 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Clyde and Dorothy (Preston) Smith.

A long time resident of Lamar, Colorado, Larry operated several IGA grocery stores in Kansas and Colorado. He had a deep faith in his savior Jesus Christ and a love for his country

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn (Cooper) Smith, two sons Scott Cooper Smith and Todd Stephen Smith, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his two sisters, Patricia Nelson and Donna Moore-Ede, his brother, Stephen Smith, and his many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Mark Preston Smith.

Graveside service will be held at Cimarron Cemetery on Friday August 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Cimarron on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A memorial service will be held at the Lamar Christian Church, in Lamar, Colorado on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Memorials are suggested to Lamar Area Hospice in care of the funeral home.
