Dodge City - Larry Wiser, 58, died September 11, 2012 at his residence in Dodge City. He was born on October 12, 1953 at Redwood City, California the son of Jesse Edwin and LaVonne (Wiemers) Wiser.

Larry lived in Redwood City, California and later came to Dodge City where he attended Sunnyside School. The family later moved to Ford in the mid 1960's and he graduated from Ford High School in 1971. He first married Carla Fravel in September of 1971 and they later divorced. He married Barbara Wymer in 1978 and they later divorced. Larry worked at Arrowhead West of Dodge City and retired in 2004.

He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and the Ninnescah Valley Archers.

Larry is survived by three sons, Joshua Wiser and wife Jackelyn of Aurora, Colorado, Lucas Wiser and wife Elizabeth of Medicine Lodge, Matthew Barnes and wife Amber of Oberlin; a daughter, Sarah McCain and husband Troy of Dodge City; a brother Randall Wiser of Independence and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held at Ford Cemetery of Ford on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Cremation has taken place and friends may sign the guest book at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Thursday, September 13, 2012. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or to Ninnescah Valley Archers in care of the funeral home.
