Dodge City - Laura Koontz, 60, died August 24, 2022 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on February 22, 1962 at Dodge City, Kansas the daughter of Lewis and Velda (Hoyt) Koontz.

She worked at Dillon's in the meat department for years before going to work at Heartland Grocery store in the meat department as well. She also worked part time at Casey's Cowtown and Cigarette Outlet before retiring because of health issues. Laura loved to listen to music as well as read a good book in her spare time. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and playing with her dogs.

She is survived by her husband Duane Romesburg of the home; three daughters Dannielle Webb of Dodge City; Jessica Webb of Dodge City; Lauren Webb of Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by two brothers Tony Koontz of Dodge City; David Koontz of Austin, Texas; one sister Karen Graves of Buhler, Kansas as well as four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be held at Hanston Methodist Church on Friday September  9, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Peter Mtuamwari presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
