Cimarron – Leland Mark Brown, 50, died October 13, 2014 at his home in Cimarron. He was born May 16, 1964 in Garden City, the son of Mark and Nancy (Woodward) Brown.
Leland was a lifetime resident of Finney and Gray counties. He was a truck driver before his health failed. Leland loved the mountains and was an avid hunter and fisher. He also enjoyed horse races and watching old westerns on television. Leland loved his kids, grandkids, and his two dogs.
Leland is survived by one daughter, LeAnn Brown of Shawnee; one son Josh Brown and wife Tabatha of Wichita; two sisters, Dianne Paris of Lenexa and Pamela Barton of Arapahoe, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kaden and Tucker Brown; and his beloved dogs, Katie and Baby. He was preceded in death by his parents Mark G. and Nancy Brown; one brother, Leyton "Neil" Brown; and grandparents Vernon and Betty Woodward, Thelma and Holly Brown, and R.G. and Gladys Brown.
There will be a graveside memorial service on Friday October 17, 2014 at 3:00 PM at ValleyView Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
