Dodge City – Lena Marie Bradley, 96, died January 13, 2025 at the Minneola Hospital Long Term Care Unit. She was born on February 15, 1928 the daughter of Walter W. and Ethel Beggs of Ensign, Kansas.
Lena was a graduate of Ensign High School in 1946, and Southwestern College in 1950 with degrees in social science and education. She taught at Dodge City elementary schools for many years, including Sunnyside Elementary School, and Northwest Elementary School.
She married Harold L. Bradley on July 9, 1950 in Dodge City. They resided in Dodge City and Wilroads Gardens since 1950. She and her husband were longtime members of the First Missionary Church, Dodge City.
Survivors include, three sons, Leslie H. Bradley, Dodge City, Craig Bradley, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mark E. Bradley, Wichita, four grandchildren, Christin York, Keith Bradley, Allison Bradley, and Janae Lawson, and six great grandchildren, Emma and Everly Lawson, Josiah and Ian York, Millie and Bodhi Bradley, and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her brother Eugene V. Beggs and sister, Ruth Louise Tooley.
Memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ, 2300 N. Central Avenue, Dodge City, on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Gary Bennett presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Church of Christ, Dodge City.
