Lena Faye Denson, 75, died September 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center in Dodge City. She was born on April 2, 1936 at Dodge City the daughter of Cleo and Eva Mae (Mullendore) Havercroft.

She spent most of her life in California and moved back to Dodge City several years ago to be near her brother and sister.

Lena loved to read, you could almost always find her curled up somewhere with a book in her hands. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, pencil painting and many other crafts. She was an avid plant enthusiast and could make any plant shine.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Rolston and husband Kenny, Thousand Oaks; California, two sons, David Denson, North Hills, California; Steven Denson,Valencia, California; one sister Mary Connelly and husband John, Dodge City, two granddaughters Kassie Berdrow (Mike), and Sidnee Denson, one grandson Brad Denson, and one great grandson Austin Berdrow.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Denson, two beloved brothers Floyd and Kenneth Havercroft , her parents, as well as her beloved kitty"Baby"of seventeen years. She will be missed with great sadness.
