IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leroy
Davidson
June 6, 1966 – May 26, 2024
Cimarron - LeRoy Davidson, 57, died May 26, 2024 in rural Gray County. He was born on June 6, 1966 at Topeka, the son of Max and Nita (Phillips) Davidson.
As a young child, LeRoy moved to southwest Kansas with his family, first to Meade and then to Cimarron. LeRoy attended school in Cimarron, graduating from Cimarron High School in 1984.
From a young age, LeRoy knew he wanted to farm. He started working at John Deere in Cimarron and then for Gray County, all while pursuing the dream of farming. LeRoy fulfilled that dream and began farming in 1986. He farmed ground in Gray, Ford, and Finney counties.
LeRoy loved fishing, both on fishing trips with his friends and at the fishing pond that he built and stocked with a variety of fish. Anyone, young or old, who wanted to fish, was welcomed at the pond. LeRoy knew no stranger and was notorious for helping anyone that crossed his path with a need. LeRoy valued his community and was known to support local organizations and fundraisers. He truly was one of a kind, as evidenced by the numerous memories and stories friends and family can share.
He was a member of the Cimarron First Christian Church.
LeRoy is survived by his parents, Max and Nita Davidson of Cimarron; a brother, Richard Davidson of San Antonio; three special girls, Maia, Devon, and Ruby; aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his beloved dog, Ohno. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Cleo Phillips and Sam and Rosabelle Davidson.
