Ensign - Lex  Hartnett, 64, died May 6, 2021 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City. He was born on June 16, 1956 at Ensign, Kansas the son of Arnold and Bette (Reese) Hartnett.

Mr. Hartnett worked as a carpenter all his life and enjoyed playing music and spending time with his family in his spare time. Lex was a lifelong resident of the Ensign community. He married Julia Helm in October of 2015, she survives.

He was a member of the Ensign United Methodist Church .

He is survived by his wife Julia of the home; two sons Trevor Hartnett and wife Sheridan of Guymon, Oklahoma; Dylan Hartnett and wife Lindsay of Wichita; Step-sister Monica Kremer of Parker, Colorado; three brothers Bruce Hartnett and Mark Hartnett both of Ensign, and Lonnie Hartnett of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Janet Schuler of Dodge City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Vicki Herrick and Pat Holuska.

Memorial service will be held at Ensign United Methodist Church on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerry  Odle presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
