SATANTA - Lina Bell (Pauline) Schroeder, 92, died March 15, 2014 at the Muskogee Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was born on December 15, 1921 in Balko, Oklahoma the daughter of John Henry and Mary Altha (Guest) Tunder.

Lina lived in Satanta most of her life. On May 10, 1941, she married Carl Lee Schroeder in Enid, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Together they had three children, Altha, Roy, and John, who died at the age of three months and three days. Pauline was a housewife and kitchen help in various cafes. She was very active with the Senior Center and meals on wheels. Lina enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and dominoes. She was also a very good cook. Pauline lived in Satanta until health reasons had her to move to her daughter's home in Checotah, Oklahoma in 2008.

She attended the United Methodist Church in Satanta.

Lina is survived by one daughter, Altha Underwood of Checotah, Oklahoma; one son, Roy Schroeder and wife Anda of Summerville, South Carolina; two brothers, John Tunder of Buffalo, Oklahoma and Roger Tunder of Tuttle, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Robert Schroeder and wife Marie of Japan and Nickolas Schroeder and wife Julie of LaHabra Heights, California; one granddaughter, Karen Underwood of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Frankie, and Eleanor all of LaHabra Heights, California; many nieces, nephews; sisters-in-law; and friends. She will be missed but not forgotten.Lina is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl; an infant son, John; and a brother, Henry (Jack) Tunder.

Funeral service will be held at Dudley Township Cemetery on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kelvin Heitmann presiding. Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from noon to 8:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Satanta Happy Agers in care of the funeral home.
