Dodge City - Linda Ann Phillips, 72, died September 13, 2018 at her home in Dodge City.  She was born on August 21, 1946 at Dodge City, the daughter of Fred and Lilly (Hopper) Lewis.

Linda was born and raised in Dodge City and attended Dodge City Schools. In September of 1964 she married Jim Phillips at Dodge City. A longtime area resident they lived in Garden City for 17 years before returning to Dodge City. Linda was a homemaker and family was her greatest joy so staying home to raise them was very important to her. She loved to shop and greatly enjoyed listening to her Elvis Presley collection.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim Phillips of Dodge City; three daughters, Terry Phillips of Dodge City, Phyllis Vest of Kinsley, and Mary Ann Stice and husband Darrel of Ft. Lupton, Colorado; a son, Jimmy Phillips and wife Erin of Dodge City; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Stella Phillips of Dodge City and brother, Lawrence Hall and wife Florence of Bucklin; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, and two nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Allen Smith presiding.  Burial will follow at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Dodge.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday September 17, 2018 from Noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
