Lizette Rosa Mendez, 38, of Dodge City, passed away at her home in Dodge City on May 15th, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. Lizette was full of life and known for her generous heart, always willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and best friend whose presence brought comfort and joy to so many.

A proud graduate of Dodge City High School, Class of 2006, Lizette dedicated much of her career to serving students as a counselor at the school. She had a gift for helping others and made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and families through her compassion, encouragement, and guidance.

Lizette also had a deep love for wrestling and spent more than a decade supporting the sport through participation in events and service on multiple boards. Her commitment and passion for the wrestling community were widely recognized and appreciated.

Lizette is survived by her sons, Armando Garcia and Adriel Garcia; and her beloved grandson, Enzo Nichols, who meant the world to her. She is also survived by her mother, Lori Naumann; her father, Carl Naumann; her sisters, Michelle Naumann, Crystal Parker and husband Neal Parker, Vanessa Olvera, Daisy Flores Leos and husband Ray Atayde, Alexis Leos and partner Janessa Correa-Sanchez; her grandparents Jose Leos Ruvalcaba and Consuelo Pelayo De Leos. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces, Gabriella Cervantes, Mireya Cervantes, Mia Olvera, Ava Olvera, and Ariella Atayde Leos; and her nephews, Elijah Cervantes, Wyatt Parker, Max Olvera, and Xavier Harris Leos.

Lizette loved her friends deeply and considered them family. She leaves behind her best friend, Kyla Keller, as well as dear friends Alicia Edwards, Carla Caraveo, Megan Lowe and countless others.

Lizette was preceded in death by her son, Damian Mendez, whom she loved deeply and carried in her heart always. She also is preceded in death by her biological dad Reyes Mendez Salazar.

Above all else, Lizette loved her children and grandson with every ounce of her being. Her family and friends were the center of her world, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The Funeral Service for Lizette Mendez will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Dodge City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Hiers presiding with a burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. There will also be a Celebration of Life potluck at 4:00PM at I Don't Care Family Restaurant and Sports Bar on Friday, May 22, 2026. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial donations can be made to Kyla Keller in Lizette's memory in care of the funeral home. Lizette estaba llena de vida y era conocida por su corazón generoso, siempre dispuesta a dar hasta lo que no tenía a cualquiera que estuviera necesitado. Graduada con orgullo de la Escuela Preparatoria Dodge City (Dodge City High School), promoción de 2006, Lizette dedicó gran parte de su carrera a servir a los estudiantes como consejera en dicha institución. Tenía un don especial para ayudar a los demás y dejó una huella perdurable en la vida de innumerables estudiantes y familias a través de su compasión, aliento y orientación.

Lizette también sentía un profundo amor por la lucha libre y dedicó más de una década a apoyar este deporte, participando en eventos y formando parte de múltiples juntas directivas. Su compromiso y pasión por la comunidad de la lucha libre fueron ampliamente reconocidos y valorados.

A Lizette le sobreviven sus hijos, Armando García y Adriel García; y su amado nieto, Enzo Nichols, quien significaba el mundo para ella. También le sobreviven su madre, Lori Naumann; su padre, Carl Naumann; sus hermanas, Michelle Naumann, Crystal Parker y su esposo Neal Parker, Vanessa Olvera, Daisy Flores Leos y su esposo Ray Atayde, Alexis Leos y su pareja Janessa Correa-Sánchez; y sus abuelos, José Leos Ruvalcaba y Consuelo Pelayo de Leos. Asimismo, deja atrás a sus queridas sobrinas: Gabriella Cervantes, Mireya Cervantes, Mia Olvera, Ava Olvera y Ariella Atayde Leos; y a sus sobrinos: Elijah Cervantes, Wyatt Parker, Max Olvera y Xavier Harris Leos.

Lizette amaba profundamente a sus amigos y los consideraba parte de su familia. Deja atrás a su mejor amiga, Kyla Keller, así como a sus queridas amigas Alicia Edwards, Carla Caraveo, Megan Lowe y a un sinfín de personas más. A Lizette le precedió en la muerte su hijo, Damian Méndez, a quien amó profundamente y llevó siempre en su corazón. También le precedió en la muerte su padre biológico, Reyes Méndez Salazar.

Mas que nada, Lizette amaba a sus hijos y a su nieto con cada fibra de su ser. Su familia y sus amigos eran el centro de su mundo, y el amor que brindó tan generosamente seguirá vivo a través de todos aquellos que la conocieron y la amaron. Se le extrañará profundamente y será recordada para siempre.

El servicio fúnebre para Lizette Mendez se llevará a cabo el viernes 22 de mayo de 2026 en la Iglesia del Nazareno de Dodge City, oficiado por el pastor Jeff Hiers; a continuación, se realizará el sepelio en el cementerio Maple Grove. También se llevará a cabo una Celebración de la Vida con comida compartida a las 4:00 p. m. en el I Don't Care Family Restaurant and Sports Bar, el viernes 22 de mayo de 2026.
