Obituary

DODGE CITY - Lonnie J. Richardson, 79, died March 20, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on May 13, 1933 in Haggard, the son of Amos and Marion (Wilson) Richardson.

Lonnie graduated from Ensign High School. On November 14, 1954, he married Lorraine Flowers at Cimarron. He farmed in Gray County and worked at the COOP in Haggard for 39 years and was manager for many years. Lonnie loved his grandkids and watching them play softball at Dodge City High School and basketball at Ingalls High School. He was an avid KU basketball fan.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Dodge City.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Lorraine Richardson of Dodge City; three sons, Rocky Richardson and wife Chris of Guymon, Oklahoma, Brad Richardson and wife Clarice of Ingalls, and Brian Richardson of Studio City, California; five grandchildren, Lyndsay Cossell and husband Jared, Kaci Richardson, Carly Richardson, Lance Richardson, and Jerica Lamm and husband Jesse; one great granddaughter, Camdyn Cossell. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jackie and Reid Richardson.

Funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church, Dodge City on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from noon to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Ford County EMS in care of the funeral home.
