Obituary

Cimarron - Lorren Harold Perkins, 74, died June 4, 2013 in Ford County. He was born on April 25, 1939 in Dodge City, the son of James H. and Minnie Helen (Wintholz) Perkins.

He lived in Palco for many years where he was a cattleman.

Lorren is survived by two children, Todd Perkins and wife Lesley of Wichita and Janay Pollington and companion Shawn King of Cimarron; two brothers, James N. Perkins of Dodge City and Donald D. Perkins and wife Donna of Hutchinson; four sisters, LaVone H. Perkins of Dodge City, Barbara A. Perkins of Derby, Alice M. Moore and husband Dennis of San Antonio, and his twin, Lorine H. Trent and husband Gerald of Dodge City; and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lorren "Wynn" Perkins; and brother John Perkins.

Graveside memorial service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Reverends Jim and Lydia Ames presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Donor's Choice in care of Swaim Funeral Home - 1901 Sixth Ave - Dodge City, KS 67801.
