DODGE CITY - Lucenda Rojas, 18, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born on February 11, 1992 at Mexico the daughter of Mariano and Josephina Rojas.

Lucenda moved with her family to Dodge City when she was five years old. She graduated from Dodge City High School in 2010. Lucenda was planning on attending Dodge City Community College to pursue her cosmetology degree. She enjoyed playing soccer and was a friendly and nice girl.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

Lucenda is survived by her parents Mariano & Josephina Rojas of Dodge City; three brothers, Berty, Victor, and Eduardo Rojas all of Dodge City; two sisters, Adamaris and Mia Rojas both of Dodge City and grandparents, Perfecto & Hermila Rojas of Dodge City.

Vigil service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 7:00 PM and Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from Noon to 7:00 PM.
