Dodge City - Luis Felipe Mejia-Salgado, 23, died May 2, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Dodge City.  He was born on December 31, 1997 in Guerrero, Mexico, the son of  Felipe Meia and Maria Salgado.

Luis spent his childhood years in Mexico where he attended school.  After he graduated, he moved to the United States in 2018.  He worked at Tyson Foods in Garden City.  Luis enjoyed playing video games.

Luis is survived by his mother and stepfather, Maria and Jorge Salena of Dodge City; two sisters; and many other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Thursday, May  6, 2021 at 2:00 PM.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, May  6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until service time.  Cremation will follow the service and burial will be in Mexico at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
