IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynette Faye
Zeiset
June 12, 1981 – July 27, 2024
Montezuma - Lynette Faye Zeiset was born to Paul and Connie Smith Zeiset on June 13, 1981, in Dodge City, Kansas. Her journey in life ended on July 27, 2024, in Texline, Texas, following an accident on a four-wheeler. Lynette reached the age of 43 years.
Most of her years of schooling were in the Cimarron, Kansas congregation. She finished her last year at Texline, Texas, when the family moved there.
She accepted the Lord and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, at Texline, Texas, by Min. Stanley Unruh, on February 2, 1997. She remained faithful to her vows to the end.
She lived in various places. Her first years were at Cimarron, Kansas, and Chickasha, Oklahoma, then 12 years at the Texline congregation, before moving to Montezuma because of her mother's need for care at Bethel Home. She keenly felt the loss of her mother when she passed away in 2012. Lynette resided in Montezuma until her death.
Lynette loved the Texline congregation and often spoke of her friends there. It was a great delight for her to go back there and reconnect with the people she grew up with. We marvel at the kindness of God that she could leave this earth at her favorite place doing one of her favorite things. Lynette cherished her friends, was loyal, taking great pleasure in spending time with them, whether it was eating out or informal gatherings. She also spent time pampering her cats.
Lynette was employed at various places in both Texline and Montezuma. While living in Texline, she worked at the Clayton, New Mexico, Dairy Queen. She also helped with catering and did house jobs. While living in Montezuma, she worked at Bethel Home, helped with house jobs, and worked at Brianna's Café.
She is survived by her father, Paul, Montezuma, Kansas; one brother, Chester, Hugoton, Kansas; a special friend, Ludith Koehn; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie, and her grandparents.
