Dodge City – Lynn Proctor Turner, 74, died November 19, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City. He was born on December 12, 1936 at Dodge City, the son of James Rhea and Emma (Proctor) Turner .
Lynn graduated from Dodge City High School in 1957. He married Carol Stotler on July 5,1958. They later divorced. He worked at Ideal Food Stores in Liberal, Ks and later moved to Dodge City and worked for the High Plains Journal for 26 years until his retirement.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Turner and wife Karen of Port Royal, SC and Kenneth Turner and wife Miranda of Arlington Heights, IL. One brother Lawrence Turner and wife Lois of Edmonds, WA. Three grandsons Adam Turner and wife Amy of Rome, GA, Will Turner of Port Royal, SC and Austin Turner of Arlington Heights, IL one great grandson Aiden Turner of Rome, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bradley, three sister, Margaret, Elizabeth, Francis, four brothers, Duane, Junior, Kenneth and Leroy.
A memorial service is planned after the holidays in Dodge City.
