Hutchinson - Madelene Leonard, 96, died April 18, 2018 in Hutchinson.  She was born on June 4, 1921 in Dodge City, the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Wright) McGee.

Madelene married Bernard A. "B.A." Leonard on March 1, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City, as well as United Methodist Women, and Beauceants. She was a 4-H leader and volunteered for the Salvation Army.

Madelene is survived by her son Joe Leonard and wife Susan of Hutchinson; daughter Marilyn Leonard Antrim and husband Lonny of Beverly Hills, Michigan; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; brother Fred McGee; sisters Josephine Smyers, Martha Voress, Doris Jean Smith, and Marguerite Zielke.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding.  Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Reno County Hospice in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
