Dodge City - Amanda "Mandy" Laine Pankratz, 43, passed away March 7, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  She was born on February 22, 1980 in Dodge City, the daughter of Verne and Karen (Fleetwood) Pankratz.

Mandy grew up in Dodge City, graduating from Dodge City High School in 1998. Mandy began her college career at Dodge City Community College graduating in 1999. She then attended West Texas A&M graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. She continued her education at Wichita State University where she graduated with honors with a Master's Degree in Public Administration.

Mandy loved dance, and all things sports related. Her two favorite teams were KU and WSU, both of which she proudly supported and even had tattoos of on her ankles. Mandy also loved spending time with her fur babies.

She is survived by her mother, Karen; brother, Josh; sister in law, Azure; and nephews Reid and Ethan. Mandy was preceded in death by her father, Verne Pankratz; and her grandparents.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  A book signing will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from noon to 5:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
