Manuel Solorzano-Lopez, a beloved husband, father, and friend, died on October 13, 2026, at the age of 63 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born in Los Fresnos, Michoacan, Mexico on June 17, 1963 to Luciano Solorzano and Celestina Lopez. Manuel lived a life rich with love, hard work, and an unwavering spirit.
Growing up in Mexico, Manuel's journey took him to the vibrant streets of Mexico City, where he met his cherished wife, Juana Rodriguez-Munoz. They were married in 1989. Their love blossomed into a beautiful partnership that spanned decades. In 1990, seeking new opportunities, Manuel moved his family to California. By 1993, they found their home in Dodge City, Kansas, where he contributed to the community through his work in concrete construction.
Manuel was a devoted father to four sons, instilling in them strong values of integrity, dedication, and kindness. He was known for his remarkable ability to balance work with his passions. An avid fisherman, he cherished quiet moments by the water, and his love for gardening brought life and beauty to his home. Friends and family will remember him not only for his hard work but for the warmth and laughter he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife Juana of Dodge City; four sons, Manuel Solorzano, Jr. of Dodge City, Alan Solorzano (Brittney) of Cimarron, Omar Solorzano of Dodge City, and Giovanni Solorzano (Gloria) of Dodge City; two grandchildren, Oliver Camilo Solorzano and Alia Mary Solorzano; five sisters, and two brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
A Mass in his honor will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
