Dodge City - Marcelina Soto Ramirez, 77, passed away July 9, 2024 in Dodge City, Kansas.  She was born on July 29, 1946 in Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Librado Soto and Juana Ramirez.

She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and sewing as well as going to various stores to shop and doing crossword puzzles. Marcelina was a great storyteller. She loved telling stories of past times. She also enjoyed traveling back home to Mexico.

She attended the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

Marcelina is survived by her children, Cresencio Perez, Hugo Perez, Naomi Rodriguez, Rosalinda Ledezma, and Nick Perez; grandchildren, Adriana Perez, Donna Perez, Bianca Rodriguez, Jasmine Herrada, Adolfo Herrada, Noel Aguilar, Annabella Rodriguez, Priscilla Rodriguez, Arian Herrada, Myra Aguilar, Jackie Ledezma, Marcos Ledezma, Naomi Ledezma, Angelica Perez, Michael Perez, and Ruby Perez; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Emma Soto, Arturo Soto, Olga Soto, Elvia Soto, and Polo Soto. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Amelia Soto, Nino Soto, and Rumaldo Soto.

Funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from noon to 8:00PM with a vigil at 7:00PM.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; y hermanos, Amelia Soto, Nino Soto y Rumaldo Soto.

El funeral se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el lunes 15 de julio de 2024 a las 10:00 a. m., presidido por el Padre Wesley Schawe. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Maple Grove en Dodge City. El velorio será en Swaim Funeral Chapel el domingo 14 de julio de 2024 desde el mediodía hasta las 8:00 p. m. con una vigilia a las 7:00 p. m. Se sugieren a la familia a cargo de la funeraria.
