Obituary

Dodge City - Marcelino Osornio-Garcia, 63, died August 5, 2022 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on October 25, 1958 in Queretaro, Mexico, the son of J. Guadalupe and Carmen Garcia Osornio.

Marcelino spent his childhood in Coroneo, Guanajuato, Mexico.  When he was 25, he made the move to the United States, first living in Texas before coming to Dodge City.  Marcelino worked for Building Solutions in Dodge City.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and all things outdoors.  Marcelino took great pride in his home.  He also loved his family very much.

Marcelino is survived by three children, Emanuel Osornio of Dodge City, Eliset Osornio and fiancé, Willima Mejia of Dodge City, and Suzanna Osornio-Vega and husband, Arnoldo Torres of Dodge City; his mother, Carmen of Mexico; five sisters, Juana, Elsa, Andrea, Angela all of Mexico and Agustina of Texas; six brothers, Juan, Guillermo, and Jose Luis all of Mexico, Alejandro and Ignacio both of Texas, and Emilio of Dodge City; and four grandchildren, Angel Gomez, Julissa Beltran, Christian Beltran, and Antonio Saucedo all of Dodge City.  He is preceded in death by his father.

Vigil Service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM.  There is no visitation as cremation has taken place.  A private family burial will be at a later date.  Friends may sign the guestbook from 9:00AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

Marcelino Osornio-Garcia, 63 años, fallecio el 5 de agosto del 2022 en su casa en Dodge City. Nació el 25 de octubre del 1958 en Querétaro, México, hijo de J. Guadalupe y Carmen García Osornio.

Marcelino pasó su infancia en Coroneo, Guanajuato, México. Cuando tenía 25 años, se mudó a los Estados Unidos, primero viviendo en Texas antes de venir a Dodge City. Marcelino trabajaba para Building Solutions en Dodge City. Le gustaba la jardinería, la pesca y todas las cosas al aire libre. Marcelino se enorgullecía mucho de su hogar. También amaba mucho a su familia.

A Marcelino le sobreviven tres hijos, Emanuel Osornio de Dodge City, Eliset Osornio y prometida, Willima Mejia de Dodge City, y Suzanna Osornio-Vega y esposo, Arnoldo Torres de Dodge City; su madre, Carmen de México; cinco hermanas, Juana, Elsa, Andrea, Ángela todas de México y Agustina de Texas; seis hermanos, Juan, Guillermo y José Luis todos de México, Alejandro e Ignacio ambos de Texas y Emilio de Dodge City; y cuatro nietos, Ángel Gómez, Julissa Beltran, Christian Beltran y Antonio Saucedo, todos de Dodge City. Le precedieron en la muerte su padre.

El servicio de vigilia se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Dodge City, el miércoles 10 de agosto del 2022 a las 7:00 p.m. La misa funebre se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el jueves 11 de agosto del 2022 a las 11:00 a.m. No hay visitación. Un entierro familiar privado será en una fecha posterior. Los amigos pueden firmar el libro de visitas de 9:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m. el miércoles 10 de agosto del 2022 en Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
