Obituary

DODGE CITY - Margaret E. Blea, 91, died February 27, 2021 at her home in Dodge City.  She was born on September 14, 1929 at Dodge City, the daughter of Mike and Tomasa (Delgado) Espinosa.

Margaret was born and raised in Dodge City. On March 25, 1944 she married William S. Blea at Dodge City. She was a homemaker and worked at St. Anthony's Hospital for many years. William and Margaret also owned and operated Blea Janitorial Service in Dodge City. She loved taking care of her family especially her grand children and great grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Dr. Phil, crocheting and crafting.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalup, V.F.W. Auxiliary and G.I. Forum all of Dodge City.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Mary M. Florez and husband Robert of Dodge City and Carolyn  J. Gutierrez and the late Jesse Gutierrez of Dodge City; a son, William Dennis Blea of Dodge City; four grandchildren, Monica Florez and Russ, Robert Florez, Jr. and Marysol, Tracy Gutierrez all of Dodge City, and Celeste Buehne and Terry of Arlington, Texas; 20 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Salas Blea; three grand daughters, Crystal Florez, Mariyah Jaclyne "MJ" Reyes, and Cristine Florez; two grandsons, Octaviano and Christopher Benson; three brothers, Henry, Robert, and Daniel Espinosa and two sisters, Rosie Blea and Della Perez.

Vigil service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may watch the service live via the funeral home Facebook page.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from Noon to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
