Satanta - Margaret Ann Collins, 86, died April 8, 2019 at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit.  She was born on December 31, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of  Pete and Mary Wyas.

As a child, Margaret moved with her family from Chicago to Missouri.  When she was 14, her mother passed away and Margaret helped raise her younger siblings.  On April 6, 1951, Margaret was united in marriage to Paul R. Collins, Sr.  He preceded her in death on May 14, 2013.  After their marriage, they moved several times before coming to Satanta  in 1963.  Margaret cared for her family.  She was an excellent cook and loved to can fresh vegetables and fruit.  After her children were grown, Margaret drove the Jolly Trolley for the Satanta Happy Agers, delivering meals to individuals in Satanta.

She was a member of the Pleasant Prairie Church of God of Satanta.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Sonnie Collins and wife Marge of Satanta and Ted Collins and wife Lowana of Gainesville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Angie Lee (Jeremy), Nikki Pearson (Eric), Michael Collins (Sarah), Mark Collins, Brandon Ellison, Michael Ellison (Emmy), and TJ Collins (Amber); 10 great grandchildren, Jace Lee, Gage Lee, Tyler Pearson, Shaley Pearson, Tate Collins, Mayer Collins, Kaylee Ellison, Tyler Ellison, Lori Ellison, and Sawyer Collins.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a son, Ricky Collins; four brothers, Ray, Jim, Charlie, and Harold Wyas; and a sister, Eleanor Brixey.

Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Prairie Church of God, Satanta on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from noon to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Satanta Long Term Care Unit in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
