Margaret G. Falcon, 89, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at her home in Dodge City, KS. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Dodge City, the daughter of Santos and Maria (Sanchez) Amador.
In 1935, she married Pedro Falcon in LaCrosse, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1981. Former residents of Ness City, they were Dodge City resident for many years. She was co-owner and operator, and cook, for the El Leon Mexican restaurant in south Dodge City for many years.
She was a member of Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
Survivors include daughter, Josephine and husband Larry Ries, Ness City; son, Antonio and wife Dora Falcon, Tucson, Arizona; son, Frank and wife Mary Falcon, Smithville, Virginia; son, Richard and wife Jessie Falcon, Dodge City, daughter, Mary and husband Joe Alvarez, Dodge City, daughter, Gloria Falcon, Dodge City, son, Longino and wife Fran Falcon, Great Bend, step daughter, Christine Rincon of Kinsley, two brothers, Ralph Amador, Aloha, Oregon; and Raymond Amador, Great Bend, and one sister, Marylou Hernandez of Conroe, Texas. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by one stepson Peter Falcon Jr. and one brother.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with Rev. Ted Stoecklein officiating. A Vigil service will be Friday, September 18, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the church. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.
