Dodge City - Margaret A. Wilks, 75, of Dodge City, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.  She was born May 15, 1946 in Rogersville, Missouri, the daughter of William "Bill" and Bessie (Holland) Green.

Margaret retired from Good Samaritan after 10 years of service. After retiring, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, nature, and art design coloring books.  She loved animals and loved taking care of any stray that crossed her path. Everyone that met Margaret said the same thing about her; she was quiet but so kind and friendly.

Margaret is survived by sons, Keith Wilks of Dodge City and Kevin Wilks of Santa Ana, California; daughter, Kellie Wilks (Kat Wurster) of Midland, Texas; brother, Bill Green of Rogersville, Missouri; sisters, Pauline Harris of Valley Center, Ruby Stone of Fordland, Missouri, Connie Dutcher of Wichita, Betty Loveland of Rogersville, Missouri, and Helen Jo Ferguson (Larry) of Kechi; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard (Rusty) Wilks; parents Bill and Bessie (Holland) Green; brother, Charles B. Green; and her sister, Vivian Green.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kirk Larson presiding.  Burial will be at a later date at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
