Dodge City - Marilyn Sauer, 77, died January 12, 2022 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on October 6, 1944 in Cimarron, Kansas the daughter of John and Leola (Miller) Wendel.

She married Vincent "Mike" Sauer on September 28, 1963 in Cimarron, he passed away on January 12, 2022.Mrs. Sauer enjoyed Gardening and taking care of her fur babies "pets" in her spare time. She worked as a secretary for Cimarron Insurance Company for years and later for the Gray County Road and Bridge Department. She had a great sense of humor. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune never missing a episode.

She is survived by her two sons Eric Sauer and wife Jennifer of Topeka, Kansas; Kevin Sauer and wife Christy of Manhattan, Kansas; one brother Glen Wendel of Manhattan, Kansas; one sister Marla Duncan and husband Scott of Reeds Spring, Missouri. She is also survived by four Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Bob Wendel.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday January 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Jeff  Hiers presiding. The service will be live streamed on the Swaim Funeral Chapel Facebook page. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
