Ruth Ortiz de Marquez, Ismael Marquez Loya, Daniel Marquez-Ortiz

Dodge City – Beloved parents, Ruth Ortiz de Marquez and Ismael Marquez Loya and son, Daniel Marquez-Ortiz left this world together on October 12, 2025. Their bond in life remained unbroken in passing. Ruth Ortiz de Marquez, 57, was born on May 22, 1968 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico; the daughter of Climaco Ortiz Anchondo and Aurelia Anchondo Anchondo. Ismael Marquez Loya, 61, was born on October 5, 1964 in Cienega de Loya, Chihuahua, Mexico; the son of Isauro Marquez Lozano and Hermelinda Loya. Daniel Marquez-Ortiz, 27, was born on December 26, 1997 in Dodge City; the son of Ruth and Ismael Marquez.

Ruth obtained an associates degree in Mexico. She worked at Cargill for many years. She was always happy. Ruth loved making plans and always found something to do. She adored life. She loved spending time with her grandkids. They were her greatest adoration. Any opportunity she had to take a vacation she would go to Mexico to see her mom.

Ismael loved to sing and play his guitar. He enjoyed cooking for his grandchildren and most of all, spending time with his family. He had previously worked at Cargill as a trainer.

Daniel also loved to sing. He enjoyed watching sports including football and baseball. His favorite teams were the Kansas City Chiefs and the KC Royals. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his son.

They were members of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

They are survived by Ruth's mother, Aurelia Anchondo Anchondo; daughter, Lizbeth Ontiveros (Jesus); grandchildren, Elias Marquez, Adrien Ontiveros, Jesus Ontiveros, Maritza Marquez, Jhianni Marquez, and Kendra Marquez; siblings, Jesus Ortiz Anchondo, Climaco Ortiz Anchondo, Edgar Ledesma, Minerva Lopez, and Sujei Ortiz Anchondo. She was preceded in death by her father, Climaco Ortiz Anchondo; and a son, Samuel Marquez; and siblings, Sergio Ortiz Anchondo and Omar Ortiz Anchondo. Ismael is also survived by his mother, Hermelinda Loya; daughter; grandchildren; and siblings, Martin Marquez, Noel Marquez, Vicky Ortiz, Lilia Ruiz, and Marisela Marquez. He is preceded in death by his father, Isauro Marquez Lozano and son. Daniel is survived by his son, Elias Daniel Marquez Rangel and mother, Emily Rangel; and his sister; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Thalia. He was preceded in death by his brother; and maternal and paternal grandfathers.

Memorial service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be a visiting time at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from noon to 5:00PM. A vigil will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 7:00PM. Dodge City – Los queridos padres, Ruth Ortiz de Márquez e Ismael Márquez Loya, y su hijo, Daniel Márquez-Ortiz, partieron juntos de este mundo el 12 de octubre de 2025. Su vínculo en vida se mantuvo intacto. Ruth Ortiz de Márquez, de 57 años, nació el 22 de mayo de 1968 en Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México; hija de Clímaco Ortiz Anchondo y Aurelia Anchondo Anchondo. Ismael Márquez Loya, de 61 años, nació el 5 de octubre de 1964 en Ciénega de Loya, Chihuahua, México; hijo de Isauro Márquez Lozano y Hermelinda Loya. Daniel Márquez-Ortiz, de 27 años, nació el 26 de diciembre de 1997 en Dodge City; hijo de Ruth e Ismael Márquez.

Ruth obtuvo un título de asociado en México. Trabajó en Cargill durante muchos años. Siempre estaba feliz. A Ruth le encantaba hacer planes y siempre encontraba algo que hacer. Adoraba la vida. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos. Eran su mayor adoración. Siempre que tenía la oportunidad de tomarse unas vacaciones, iba a México a ver a su madre.

A Ismael le encantaba cantar y tocar la guitarra. Disfrutaba cocinar para sus nietos y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con su familia. Anteriormente había trabajado en Cargill como entrenador.

A Daniel también le encantaba cantar. Disfrutaba viendo deportes, como fútbol americano y béisbol. Sus equipos favoritos eran los Kansas City Chiefs y los KC Royals. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familiares, especialmente con su hijo.

Eran miembros de la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Dodge City.

Le precedieron en la muerte su hermano; y sus abuelos maternos y paternos.

El servicio conmemorativo se celebrará en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el viernes 24 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 a. m., presidido por el Padre Wesley Schawe. El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio Maple Grove de Dodge City. Habrá un horario de visita en Swaim Funeral Chapel el jueves 23 de octubre de 2025 desde el mediodía hasta las 5:00 p.m.  Se realizará una vigilia en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el jueves 23 de octubre de 2025 a las 7:00PM.
