Maysville, MO Marsha Lynette Fairbanks, 49, passed away on August 7 ^th , 2017.

Marsha was born on August 31 ^st , 1967 in Dodge City, Kansas to Marvin and Mary (Hornung) Johnson and was a member of The First Christian Church.

Marsha was very proud of the life she built for her and her children through living in Dodge City, KS then Blue Springs, MO and finally, Maysville, MO.

Marsha enjoyed spending time with her family, which included her pets. Marsha also enjoyed spending time in her sewing room where she had several different on-going projects which included many different quilts and watching musicals. Marsha was an avid gardener and bee keeper. She had a passion for cooking for her family and cars.

Marsha was a very loving and caring mother to her 4 children and was a great mom to her 'adopted' daughter. She was a very strong, independent woman who beat breast cancer and was proud of who she was. Marsha is loved by many and will remain in our hearts forever.

Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Johnson and her brother-in-law, Jeff Stevens.

Marsha is survived by her mother, Mary Johnson, Dodge City, and her children, Zackery and wife Sandra Fairbanks, Independence, Mo, Christofer Fairbanks, Independence, Mo, Nicolas and wife Taylor Fairbanks, Maysville, MO and Veronica Black, Maysville MO. Marsha was also survived by a sister Michele Stevens, Minneola, KS and niece and nephew Kyle and Alicia Stevens also of Minneola.

The family will be having a reception in Maysville, Missouri in the Basement Community Room of the Courthouse on August 12 ^th , 2017 from 12-2 PM. The entrance is on the west side of the building.

A Graveside service will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Windthorst, Kansas on  Saturday, August 26 @ 9:00 am. Memorials are suggested to Marsha Fairbanks Memorial Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Home.
