Obituary
Dodge City, Kansas - Mary Jean Anderwald, 73, died September 14, 2014 at Baylor Hospital, Grapevine, Texas. She was born on January 15, 1941 in Dodge City, Kansas the daughter of Arthur Dean and Rose Marie (Maier) Legg. She grew up in Dodge City and graduated from Dodge City High School.
On August 29, 1964 she married Robert Dean Anderwald in White Deer, Texas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She has been a resident of Texas since then.
She was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Church of Pampa, Texas.
Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Dean Anderwald, Pampa, Texas; two daughters, Lauri Melton, Keller, Texas and Krista Vanderburg, Midland, Texas; three grandchildren, Aaron Vanderburg, Kensley Vanderburg and Ethan Melton; a brother Ronnie Legg and wife Carla, Kennewick, Washington and a sister Deanne Nelson, Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Aaron Anderwald, and two brothers, John and Bobby Legg.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date with Rev. Terrance Klein officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorials are suggested to Olivia's Angels of Amarillo, Texas in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
