DODGE CITY - Mary E. (Chiles) Helfrich, 52, died September 19, 2012 at Terra Haute, Indiana. She was born on April 19, 1960 at Medicine Lodge the daughter of Arthur Lee and Dorothy Marie (Thul) Chiles.

She enjoyed canning, pickling, and collecting frogs.

She was a member of the American Legion of Terra Haute, Indiana

Mary is survived by two sons, Josh Helfrich of Watford City, North Dakota and Johnathan Helfrich of Dodge City; two daughters, Miranda Helfrich of Garden City and Jennifer Helfrich of Hays; two sisters, Patty Maas of Dodge City and Linda Conley of Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Chiles; and sister, Sharon Scarborough.

Memorial graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ted Stoecklein presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. There will be a family gathering following the graveside service at St. John's Parish Center in Spearville.
