Dodge City - Mary Lucille Reynolds, 88, died August 13, 2023 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.  She was born on April 26, 1935 at Ringwood, Oklahoma the daughter of Fred and Oma (Veatch) Hoyt.

Mary grew up in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas and was a graduate of Ford High School. On August 7, 1954 she married Vernal Ray Reynolds at the First Christian Church in Dodge City. Mary was a homemaker and farm wife in Ford County for many years. She enjoyed quilting and doing embroidery.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Ward and husband Bill of Dodge City; son, Fred Reynolds of Manhattan; three grandchildren, Desiree Wirth and husband Jeff of Greensburg, Michelle Adams and husband Brandon of Dodge City, and Michael Gerber and wife Ashley of Dodge City; five great grandchildren, Jarret Wirth, Jessie Wirth, Morgan Adams, Taylor Adams, and Laurel Rae Gerber; and a sister, Reita Roetzer of Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernal Reynolds; two sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday August 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Jeff Hiers presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Wednesday August 16, 2023 from Noon to 5:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
